From The President
Born and raised in Marystown, Dale Lambe brings more than 25 years of experience to the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association. With a career that spans both rural and urban settings, he has built lasting relationships with teachers across the province and remains deeply committed to supporting and advocating for the profession.
Dale began his teaching career in 1998 at St. Joseph’s Central High in Bay de Verde. Over the following six years, he taught Language Arts, French, and Technology at several schools, including Fatima Academy in St. Bride’s and Ascension Collegiate in Bay Roberts. His leadership journey began in 2004 as Assistant Principal (teaching) at St. Catherine’s Academy in Mount Carmel, Brother Rice Junior High, and St. Paul’s Junior High in St. John’s.
Since 2013, he has served as Principal at Hazelwood Elementary in St. John’s and ,most recently Principal of Villanova Junior High in Conception Bay South.
Dale has been actively involved with the NLTA for many years, including service with the School Administrators’ Council (SAC) since 2004, where he also held the role of SAC President. Prior to being elected President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association, Dale served as NLTA Vice- President. In this new role, he is honoured to represent the educators of Newfoundland and Labrador and to advocate on their behalf.
Outside of work, Dale enjoys life with his wife Kelli, their two children, Julia and Elliott, and family dog Wrigley.
