NLTA Student Art Contest
2026-27 Wall Calendar
The NLTA is inviting students across Newfoundland and Labrador to submit artwork for the 2026-27 NLTA wall calendar. We’re looking for 10 pieces of student artwork representing the school months from September to June. Artwork should reflect the assigned month, and the activities and themes typically associated with that time of year.
Grade / Month Assignment:
- September: Kindergarten & Grade 1
- October: Grade 2
- November: Grade 3
- December: Grade 4
- January: Grades 5 & 6
- February: Grade 7
- March: Grade 8
- April: Grade 9
- May: Grades 10 & 11
- June: Grade 12
Contest Timeline: Artwork can be submitted anytime between April 20 to May 29, 2026.
Artwork Guidelines: Artwork must be 7.0 inches by 7.5 inches (fit inside the template area). Must be an original work of art in any of the following media/ formats: drawing, painting, mixed-media, or digital and must not contain copyrighted material.

How to Submit: Entries should be emailed by the student’s teacher and must include: student name; teacher name; grade level; and school. Send entries as an email attachment in PDF, JPG or PNG format to ArtContest@nlta.ca
Prizes: Each selected student will receive a $100 prize and have their artwork featured in the 2026-27 NLTA wall calendar distributed to members across the province.
