NLTA Janeway Day in the Schools

Information Sheet

Every year, NLTA Janeway Day in the Schools provides an opportunity for students and teachers to help other children. In fact, since 1986, students and teachers in Newfoundland and Labrador have donated more than $1,284,000 to The Janeway. That’s something to be proud of!

Here’s how to participate in NLTA Janeway Day:

On February 14th …
Ask students and teachers to forego and collect the equivalent of recess monies for this one day. (That’s their donation to The Janeway.)

After February 14th …
Either have your principal deposit the donation and write a cheque to your NLTA Branch. The Branch President will then send a cheque to the NLTA made out to NLTA Janeway Day in the Schools Fund, c/o 3 Kenmount Road, St. John’s, NL, A1B 1W1.

Or send your donation directly to The Janeway through their donation page at www.janewayfoundation.nf.ca/ways-to-give/online-donations/telethon-donation/. NOTE: Please add in the “Comments” section that monies to go towards NLTA Janeway Day in the Schools.

For additional fundraising options, please review The Janeway Day Fundraising Ideas Handbook.
