C. Teacher Education

1. The Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association, in cooperation with Memorial University of Newfoundland, will make provision for information sessions, seminars or other activities designed to acquaint students in the Faculty of Education with the NLTA. [Oct/23&25/14]

2. a) The NLTA supports the view that its members must remain current with respect to advances in knowledge and the development of teaching strategies as a result of this new knowledge. 3. The NLTA accepts the principle that continuing professional development of teachers is a shared responsibility of the NLTA, Department of Education, Memorial University, School Boards’ Association, and school boards. [Jan/8-9/99] [1999 BGM]
