Retired Teachers’ FoundationSince 1987, the Retired Teachers’ Foundation (RTF) has provided retired teachers with a meaningful way to continue making a difference in the lives of children throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded through the vision of the late Lloyd C. Buffett, with the support of the RTANL Central Division, the Foundation has grown into a lasting legacy of generosity and community service. In 1994, sponsorship of the Foundation was assumed by the RTANL Provincial Executive, which continues to support its important work today. As a registered non-profit organization (Registration No. 89409 6668 RP0001), the Foundation distributes funding each year to selected charities through the generous contributions of RTANL members, Divisions, and individual donors. Some of the Charities that have benefited from the Foundations work are: A portion of every RTANL member’s annual dues helps support the Foundation, while RTANL Divisions across the province organize fundraising activities throughout the year. Together, retired teachers continue to enrich the lives of children long after their teaching careers have ended. We invite you to learn more about the Foundation, the organizations it supports, and how you can help continue this proud tradition of giving.
